The Life of JOHN WARREN MACAULAY

Jack Macaulay, 76, of the 2600 block of Hull Avenue died of a heart ailment Wednesday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center.  Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Mark''s Episcopal Church.  Cremation will follow services.

Mr. Macaulay was born in Beverly, Massachusettes and had lived in Cleveland, Ohio and New Jersey before moving to Des Moines in 1953.  He was a retired sales representative with U.S. Steel, a Marine veteran and a member of Wakonda Golf and County Club and the Iowa World War II Monument Committee.  He was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his wife, Henrietta "Sugar"; three daughters, Karen Nichols of Des Moines, Marcia Macaulay of Luck, WI, and Michelle Malloy of Clearwater, FL; two brothers, Chester of Stevenson Ranch, CA, and Norman of Marblehead, Mass; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hamilton''s Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mark''s Episcopal Church.
