Metta Khanthavongsa, age 50, daughter of Mr. Peng and Vang Malavong, was born on November 11, 1963, in Vientiane, Laos.
Her favorite hobbies were hanging out with family and friends at the Laos Buddhist Temple and teaching Lao Traditional Dance. She was great loving and caring mother, daughter, sister, teacher, friend, and aunt.
Metta is survived by her loving husband, Sangka; daughter, Brenda Khanthavongsa; sisters, Vatsana Khamphouk from Melburne, Australia, Chinda Chareunsab, and Laddavanh Malavong; brothers, Niraphan Malavong from South Sioux City, IA, Konekoe Malavong, and Khoekham Malavong, of Des Moines.
