The Life of KENNETH J TEATER
Kenneth Teater, 90, was born March 23, 1923 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Royal Kenneth and Thelma Teater. He passed away March 19, 2014 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
Kenneth served in the United States Army Air Corps and was a member of the American Legion. He owned and operated Teater’s Auto Supply for many years. Kenneth enjoyed golfing and fishing.
Kenneth is survived by his daughters, Cheryl (Pete) Noyes of Johnston, Susan (Tony) Law of Ankeny, and Linda (Sam) Leo of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marion in 2012, and his brother, Bill Teater.
The family will greet visitors from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 21, 2014, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. A private family graveside service will be held at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
