The Life of JOSEPH C. SANTANGELO SR.
He was a devoted husband of the late Dawn C. (Wolf) Santangelo who passed away December 27, 2013, and whose marriage lasted 50 years.
Born in Reading, Mr. Santangelo was the son of the late Louis and Margaret (Cambria) Santangelo.
He was a laborer for Reading Railroad and managed the design and building of all the custom furniture for Argo Furniture.
He shared his love of cooking with his family and was
always ready with a meal or a recipe to share with family and friends.
He and his wife Dawn continued to care for the children of the many cousins and relatives in town, and more
recently he showered love on his two grandchildren, Molly and Gracie. His generous spirit and big personality will be missed by all.
Mr. Santangelo was a loving father to Marie Beetner, wife of Eric Beetner, of El Segundo, Calif.; and his brother, Frank R. Santangelo, husband of Joan M. Santangelo, of Myerstown.
He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph Charles Santangelo in 1991.
Funeral service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, Saturday, September 9, 2017, at 10:30 a.m.
Entombment will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery
Mausoleum.
The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean
Funeral Home Saturday 9:00-10:30 a.m.
