Obituary for Eileen L Fay

LIBERTY TOWNSHIP – Eileen L. (Foley) Fay, 86, passed away Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Eileen was born Feb. 8, 1927, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Francis and Marie Mackin Foley.

Eileen was a homemaker and dedicated her life to raising and caring for her family. She was a wonderful listener, confidante and advice giver. Eileen loved music and politics and had a caring compassion for animals of all kinds. She was a member of St. Rose Church in Girard.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Fay, whom she married Dec. 27, 1949; her daughters, Debbie (Bob) Campana of Liberty, Jill (Bobby) Brown of Liberty and Sharron (Tim) Cothran of Vienna, Va.; grandchildren Kimberly (Jason) Weinell, Kristine (Mark) Makis and John Robert Cothran; and great-grandchildren Chloe, Brandon, Connor and Claire Eileen.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Florence Marie, Mary Ellen and Evelyn; and brothers Francis, Ken, Robert, Don, Norman and Bill.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 4, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Rose Church, preceded by an 11 a.m. prayer service at the Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Eileen will be laid to rest at Greenhaven Memorial Park.

The family requests that any material contributions be made to the American Cancer Society and wishes to thank Linda, Pat, Sandy, Diana and the MVI Hospice for the kind and compassionate care that was given to Eileen.
