Obituary for Robert Jr. Kubic

NORTH JACKSON – Robert L. Kubic Sr., 65, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014, at his residence with his family by his side.

Robert was born May, 28, 1948, in Youngstown to parents, John and Mary (Shackelford) Kubic.

Robert served his country proudly with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He retired from GM Lordstown as a linesmen after 34 years of work. Robert enjoyed sports and was a fan of the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. One thing that always stood out with Bob was his kind soul, and good hearted willingness to help anyone who needed it.

Robert is survived by his son, Scott A. Kubic of North Jackson; daughter, Christina (Paul) Antal of Lake Milton; brother, Thomas (Pam) Kubic of North Jackson; grandchildren, Taylor and Star Kubic, and dear friend; Marilyn Hartman.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gregory; and son, Robert Jr.

Visitation will be held at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m.

A funeral service will be Monday, Jan. 27, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be held at Green Haven Memorial Gardens, Canfield.
