Obituary for Betty L. Morse

Betty (Smith) Morse, 89, of The Villages, Fla., died Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, at Mission Oaks Assisted Living where she had resided for two years.
Mrs. Morse was born Feb. 14, 1924, and grew up in Avon. She married Lloyd Morse on Feb. 1, 1944, and lived briefly in the state of Washington during the war.
She lived in Wickliffe for 28 years before moving to Florida, where she spent the past 33 years.
Betty served as the school secretary at Mapledale Elementary School in Wickliffe for 24 years before retiring in 1980. She was an avid golfer, and loved to sew and play the organ.
Her husband, Lloyd, passed away on Jan. 24, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Verna Morse.
Betty is survived by her sons, Douglas (Joyce) of Houston, Texas, Dennis of Denver, Colo., and Dale (Janet) of The Villages, Fla.; grandsons, Scott (Joni) of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Danen (Hillori) also of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Adam of Denver, Colo., Jeff (Rachel) of University Heights and Dean (Amy) of Medina; granddaughters, Alanna (Chris) Morrill of Littleton, Colo., and Alyssa (Michael) Quinn of Denver, Colo.; nine great-grandchildren, Audrie, Bailey, Cameron, Donovan, Dylan, Cayden, Emma, Mariana and Sophia; and brother, Howard Smith, 87, of North Ridgeville.
