Obituary for Bernice Nusbaumer

Bernice M. Nusbaumer 79, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, following an extended illness. She was born on Nov. 27, 1934 in Stone Creek to the late Ed and Clara (Sherretas) Neiger. Bernice graduated from New Philadelphia High School. She was a licensed beautician for many years and then worked at Affinity Medical center in the Radiology Department retiring in 2007. Bernie was dedicated to her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved the outdoors, fishing, camping, shopping, crafts, bus trips and traveling. She is survived by her children, Tammy (Gary) Kratz of Canal Fulton, Debra Nusbaumer, Kimberly Nusbaumer- Studer, Carrie (Jeff) Biehl, Jackie (Mike) Bergener and Jan Rae (Tim) Garner all of Massillon; six grandchildren; Mark, Jr., Joshua, Adam, Brittney, Colton and Cody; four great-grandchildren; Jarred, Mia, Macy and Adanlynn: brother Jack Neiger of New Philadelphia; a special niece, Peggy Ledrich. She was also preceded in death by her husband; Jack K. Nusbaumer; four brother; Bud, Gene, Bill and Jim Neiger and three sisters; Evelyn Detre, Harriett Kendal and Janice DeVault. Friends may call on Thursday, January 9, 2014 from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., Pastor David Kimberly, Officiating Entombment will be in RoseHill Memorial Gardens.
