Obituary for Karla J Walker

Karla Jean Walker went home to be with the Lord on December 24,2 013 after a short illness.  Karla was a 1984 graduate of John R. Buchtel High School.  Karla started her journey at Rockynol Retirement home as a dietary aid, later working hard to be promoted to prep cook. Karla dedicated 29 years of her life there she also worked at Copley Heath Center as a second job.  Karla was known for her sweet personality, a great friend, a wonderful sister and most of all, the best auntie that her nieces and nephews could ask for.  Karla also attended Thompson Memorial where she helped out the Sunday morning bible school. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Wavie and Tommie Walker; sister, Michelle Walker; niece, Desiree Walker.  She leaves to cherish her memory sister, Karen Walker; brother, Mark Walker; god son Sean Lane; nieces and nephews, DeShon, James Delina, Latoya, Javon, Denise, Deanna, Lil Joe and Jewel Walker; her one and only (Lil P) special friend, Rayshawn Coleman; favorite cousin, Tracy (Darren) Townsend; best friends, Tonya, Angie, Constance and Diane; a host of great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Home going services will be held at 12 Noon on Thursday, January 2, 2013 at Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Home. Pastor Willie Templeton officiating.  Interment Mount Peace Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 11 a.m. until 12 Noon.  Procession will from and condolences may be sent to 315 Noble Avenue.
