Obituary for Alice A. Schultz

Alice Ann Stincic Jaklic Schultz, passed away peacefully on her 89th birthday on Sept. 3, 2013, in Vidant Chowan Hospital, Edenton, N.C. Born in Cleveland, on Sept. 3, 1924, she was the youngest child of the late Nick and Anna Herakovic Stincic. Alice also resided in Willowick, and Clayton, NC. She worked at Gabriel during World War II, assembling hand grenades, as well as Fisher Body Division of GM, General Electric and Allen Bradley in Cleveland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Jaklic, Sr. and Edward Schultz. Surviving are her son, Frank A. (Connie) Jaklic of Hertford, N.C.; her grandson, Justin Jaklic of Carrboro, N.C.; granddaughter, Erika Jaklic (Ryan) McCoy; and great-granddaughter, Sophie Anne McCoy of Arlington, Va. A private burial will be held at a later date in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chesterland. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is assisting the family with the arrangements. The family would like to thank the staff at Edenton Prime Time and the physicians and nurses at Vidant Chowan Hospital for their compassionate care of Alice.
