Obituary for James Huxel

James R. Huxel, 65, passed away Dec. 14, 2013, at his home in Cleveland Heights.He was born Jan. 27, 1948, in East Cleveland and was a resident of Cleveland Heights for 35 years.James was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a teacher at South Euclid-Lyndhurst School District, retiring after 35 years.He was the husband of Linda (nee Noyes) of Cleveland Heights; father of Karen Secor (husband, Scott) of Cleveland Heights, Kellie Bliven (husband, Christopher) of Mesa, Ariz., Kent (wife, Charlotte) of Cincinnati and Kurt (wife, Jerelyn) of Anchorage, Alaska; fun loving grandfather of Jacob, Ginny, Lilly, Logan, Calvin and Gavin Huxel and Sloan and Kailie Secor; brother of George ""Joe"" (wife, Betty) of Lexington, Ky., twin John ""Jack"" (wife, Marsha) of Perry, Ed (wife, Jennifer) of Ft. Worth, Texas, Ann Andrews (husband, Robert) of Westerville and Mary Webster (husband, Daylan) of Chardon; and uncle and grand uncle to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Virginia (nee Shea) Huxel.Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, at Maher-Melbourne Funeral Home.
