Obituary for Danette Peoples

Danette Peoples was called home to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 15, 2013 after a short illness.

Danette was born on October 27, 1963 in Akron, OH where she attended Akron Public Schools and graduated from North High in 1982. A hard working woman, Danette was a long time cashier finishing her career at BP Gas Station. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and frequently hosted cookouts, card games, and Cleveland Browns watch parties every Sunday. An avid Browns fan, Danette, never missed a game or an opportunity to root for her team.

Danette was a strong, humble, independent, and kind woman. In this life she was proud to be known as “Mom”, “Aunt Nette”, “Nana”, and “Titi”. She loved her sons and grandchildren and spent every moment letting you know it. Danette treated everyone like family and didn’t hesitate to show you with a hug and a big smile for all.

Danette was preceded in death by her parents Bertha Singletary and Donald Peoples; sisters, Agnes Jones and Bridgette Peoples; and other close family members.  She leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Darkeevin (Ashley) Peoples, Fort Wayne, IN, Reginald Bolding Jr., Phoenix, AZ, and Darius Peoples, Akron, OH; sister, Stephanie Peoples, Akron, OH; granddaughters, Ambreeya, Alexa, and Avalynn Peoples; nephew and niece, Jordan and Janae Peoples; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and great friends; special aunt, Byrdine “Queen Bee” Coleman, and special friend, Elizabeth Carter.

Service will be held Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at United Baptist Church, 1007 S. Hawkins Ave., Akron, OH 44320, Pastor J. Michael Martin Sr. officiating.  Interment Mt. Peace Cemetery.  Friends may visit at the church from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.  Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 174 Shelby Ave. Akron, Oh 44310.
