Obituary for Jo Ann McElhaney
JO ANN (COLLINS) MCELHANEY
AUSTINTOWN – Jo Ann (Collins) McElhaney, 81, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013.
She was born on Sept. 22, 1932, to the late Ralph L. and Alice Mae Collins.
Jo Ann was a 1950 graduate of The Rayen School. She worked for Ohio Bell for 42 years and belonged to The Pioneers group. Jo Ann enjoyed playing bingo and cards games with her family. She will always be remembered for the special love she had in her heart for all of her grandchildren.
Left to mourn Jo Ann’s passing is her loving husband of 58 years, Ronald B. McElhaney of Austintown; her children, Linda (Ryan) Chapman of Indiana, Kathy (Ed) Marshall of Canfield, and Jill Luli of Hartville; her grandchildren, Eddie, Elizabeth, Tiffany, Brian, Ryan, Gary, and Amanda; seven great-grandchildren; her brother, Ralph E. Collins; and her sisters, Doris Jean Hudock, Marjorie Dilts, and Judy Rhodes.
Jo Ann is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Alice Popovich.
Family will receive friends on Wednesday, Dec. 18, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave., where a funeral service will follow at noon.
Interment will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
