Obituary for Catherine Kroeger
Catherine A. Kroeger, 90, of Mentor, passed away Dec. 2, 2013. She was born April 12, 1923, in Nemacolin, Pa., and was a former resident of Wickliffe for 45 years. Mrs. Kroeger moved to the Cleveland area during WWII. She was an avid gardener and walked two miles daily up until her 80th birthday. Survivors are her sons, Daniel and Gary (Sue); and grandson, Charles. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles (2008); and her brothers, Daniel, George, Andrew and Edward Butorac. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at Orlando-Donsante Funeral Home. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. A special thanks to the staff of Haven House in Mentor and to Hospice of the Western Reserve. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Hospice of the Western Reserve would be appreciated.
