Obituary for Armand Corbin

Mass of Christian Burial for Armand Corbin, 85, will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, 242 N. State St., Painesville. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville. Interment will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.A Painesville resident, Armand was born June 20, 1928, in Fall River, Mass., and passed away Nov. 22, 2013, at his residence.Mr. Corbin was a millwright for the former Ohio Rubber Company in Willoughby and retired as a self-employed tax consultant.Armand served as a corporal with the U.S. Marine Forces participating in operations against enemy forces during World War II and Korea. He enjoyed golfing and playing pinochle.Survivors are his son, Glenn Corbin of Mentor; daughters, Denise (Tom) Pallant of Linesville, Pa., and Susan Brown of Andover; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Yvonne Coppinger of Mass.Armand was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Alice (Paradis) Corbin on Oct. 11, 2013; and parents, Andre and Juliette (Thivierge) Corbin.Contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Cleveland Clinic, 6801 Brecksville Road, Suite 10, Independence, OH 44131.
