Obituary for William C. Roffe

William C. Roffe Sr., 81, of Willowick, passed away Nov. 19, 2013, at V.A. Medical Center in Cleveland.Bill was born Jan. 1, 1932, in Johnson County, Ky. Bill was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of American Legion Post 214 in Willoughby. He worked for the New York Central Railroad from 1949 to 1951, Reliance Electric from 1955 to 1994 and Lake Metroparks for 11 years.Survivors are his wife, Mary Margaret (nee Meier); children, Debra (Steve) Balint, William C. Jr. (Brenda), and Dennis C. (Loretta); grandchildren, Tamara Wallace, Jennifer (Bill) Gardner, Steven (Michelle) Balint, Leeann (Mark) Manis, Tyler, Christina and Aaron Roffe, and Chris Hamilton; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Eloise Fisher and Evelyn Poag; brothers, Frank, Cliff, Ellis and Robert Roffe; and brother-in-law, Harold (Carol) Meier.He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marjorie Ryan; parents, Altie and James Roffe; and brother, Chester Roffe. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at Shore Haven Lutheran Church, 280 E. 222nd St., Euclid. Burial will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township. Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brickman Bros. Funeral Home, 37433 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.Contributions to Shore Haven Lutheran Church or V.A.
