Obituary for Maline A Infante

MALINE A. INFANTE AUSTINTOWN – Maline A. Infante, 98, departed from this life on Friday evening, Nov. 15, 2013, at Vibra Hospital in Boardman. Maline was born Feb. 24, 1915, in Youngstown, the daughter of Theresa and James Vergalitte. She worked at Weatherbee Triangle Raincoat Factory prior to marriage, and grew up on the East Side of Youngstown. She married Joseph Infante on April 22, 1939, and was blessed with 61 years of marriage and a large family. Maline will always be remembered and cherished as a beautiful person, and as a warm, loving, caring mother and grandmother. Maline was a great cook and baker, specializing in Italian food and the large, wonderful holiday celebrations. She also enjoyed crocheting and traveling, but most of all loved being with her family. Maline was very strong in her faith and was proud to be a charter member of St. Joseph’s Church in Austintown. Maline leaves her six children, Dr. Dominic (Sandra) Infante of Alliance, Ann Vonovick of California, Joseph Infante Jr. of Cleveland, Dr. James (Terry) Infante of North Jackson, Marilyn Murcko of Canfield, and Ronald (Luann) Infante of Canfield; seven grandchildren, Laura (Geoff) Peters, Jeff (Jennifer) Infante, Jill (Mac) Dalton, Gregg (Karey) Infante, Melanie Vonovick, Elena Infante, and Diana Murcko; and 13 great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. Maline was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, who passed away Aug. 31, 2000; and her son-in-law, Donald Murcko. Her brother, Anthony Vergalitto; and sisters, Magdalene Schiavone, Rose Zarlengo, Mary Lou Vergalitte, and infant, Immaculata Vergalitte, are also deceased. There will be funeral services at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home in Boardman, followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church in Austintown with the Rev. Gregory Fedor celebrating the Mass for Maline. Friends may call on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Rossi Brothers & Lellio Funeral Home, 4442 South Ave., in Boardman. Burial will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens in Canfield. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Tejdeep Singh and all of the staff at the Victoria House in Austintown for the love and care they gave Maline.
