She was born in Durant, Mississippi and lived in the Akron area for over 40 years. She retired from First Energy Corp., in September 2013.
She was preceded in death by father, John Odie; mother, Margaret Odie; sister, Sandra Eure. She is survived by sisters, Bess Odie and Millicent Odie; brother, Joseph (Sunwati) Subryan; nephews, Damien (Tatiana) Eure and Ryan Eure; niece, Elizabeth Eure; great niece, Sofiya Eure; great nephew, Nicolai Eure; and many other relatives and friends.
