Demetrius "Metchie" S. Harper
Demetrius "Metchie" S. Harper, 34, went home to be with the Lord Friday, October 4, 2013.
Born in Akron, Ohio on June 1, 1979, he was the son of LaVeania Harper and Charles Logan. He had been employed at Goodwill until March 2013.
Metchie was preceded in death by his grandfather, Sheldon Dampier. He leaves to cherish his memory, mother, LaVeania Harper; father, Charles Logan; brother, James (Pepin) Harper; grandmother, Hattie B. Dampier; godmother, Turleen Dent; special aunt, Linda Trammel; and a host of family and friends.
Homegoing celebration for Metchie will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 12 noon at Rhoden Memorial Home, 1101 Palmetto Ave., with Rev. Richard Brown officiating. Friends may visit at the chapel on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service. Interment at Mount Peace Cemetery. Procession will form and condolences may be sent to 549 Bacon Ave., Akron 44320.
