Mary (Pearl) Thornton, born August 23, 1932, went to her Heavenly home on Thursday, July 28, 2016.
Born in Union Springs, Ala. to the late mother Annie Mae Hill father Maude Raybon.
Preceded in death by husband, Preston Thornton and son, Mack Thornton, left to cherish her memories are Lillie Hill (Herbert) Robbins, Annette (Howard) Copeland, John (Paula) Thornton, Stevie Thornton; grandchildren, Damon, Demetrius Robbins, Monete, Cortez, Reagan Thornton, Lamar (Mariane) Copeland; great-grandchildren, Danayasia, Jahara, Deante, Daniel, Tasia, Chemere; sisters, Minnie Maddox, Margaret L. (Richard) Franklin of Union Springs, Ala.; brothers, both of Akron, Ohio, Henry James Hill (Tex), Eddie Jr. (Barbara) Hill; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 12 p.m. at Stewart and Calhoun Funeral Home, 529 W. Thornton St., Akron, Ohio 44307, Minister Sandra Howze eulogizing. Interment at Mount Peace Cemetery. Friends may visit at the chapel from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
