Obituary for Nettie Kaiser

Nettie Brown Kaiser, 93, of the Village of Moselem, Richmond Township, died Monday, February 16, 2009 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, West Reading. She was the wife of the late Dr. Russell F. Kaiser who died July 26, 1988.

Born in Syracuse, NY she was the daughter of the late Frank R. and Pearl (Phillips) Brown. She received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science Degrees in Home Science from Syracuse University where she then taught for several years. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gama Sorority. Mrs. Kaiser was very active in her community. She was a life member of Kutztown Area Historical Society and worked tirelessly to preserve the 1892 school building during the early years of the society. She was active in the Kutztown Women’s Club and chaired the dress makers contest and picnic. She was an active bridge player. Nettie was a person of positive energy and touched the lives of many and our lives are richer because we knew her.

She is survived by Daughters, Karen Kaiser, wife of Robert Byrne, Carlisle, Kristine Kaiser wife of Robert Relitz, Bethlehem, Karol Kaiser wife of Andrew Teplitzky, Arlington, VA; Sister, Fran (Brown) wife of Richard Kogler, Baton Rouge, LA; Grandchildren, Richard Beltz, Amanda Beltz wife of Kurt Bresswein, David Beltz, Elizabeth Beltz, Suzannah Beltz, Samuel Teplitzky and Max Teplitzky. Also surviving are her Great Grandchildren, Russell Beltz, Shannon Beltz, and Gus Kaiser Bresswein. She resided with her companion Paul F. Lillienthal.
