Obituary for RUSSELL F. DAIELLO

Russell D’Aiello, Sr. Russell Frank D’Aiello, Sr., 97, formerly of Wyomissing, passed away January 24, 2021 at Keystone Villa at Ephrata where he was a guest for the past month. He had previously resided for the past 10 years at Keystone Villa at Fleetwood. He was the husband of the late Clementine (Mafrici) D’Aiello, who passed away February 26, 2011. They celebrated 64 years of marriage prior to her passing. Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Francesco & Christina (Vassallo) D’Aiello. A Navy veteran of WW II, he worked as a grocery manager for Shop Rite of Reading, retiring in 1985. He was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading and a former member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his children – Rosemary C. wife of Paul Carabello, Wyomissing, Russell F. D’Aiello, Jr. husband of Joann, Wrightsville, Frank J. D’Aiello husband of Dolores, Brecknock Twp., his grandchildren – Paul N. Carabello, Philip J. Carabello, Jessica D. Moats, Russell F. D’Aiello, III (Stephanie), Emily E. Burnett (Jason), Joseph M. Kress (Amanda), Alicia R. Stewart (Philip), Brian L. Howard (Emily), and 13 great grandchildren. Prayer services officiated by Deacon Christopher May will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment with military honors accorded by the U.S. Navy honor guard and the Ray A. Master Post 217, American Legion at Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.
