Obituary for Gregory W Dunn

NILES – Gregory W. Dunn, 54, died Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at St. Elizabeth Hospital.

Gregory was born June 5, 1959, in Warren, the son of Laurence and June Sinn Dunn.

He worked for St. Elizabeth Hospital as a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit and was well respected by his fellow co-workers.

Gregory was a member of the Open Door Community Church in McDonald. He was an avid cyclist, well read, and a loving husband and father.

Besides his parents of Brooksville, Fla., Gregory is survived by his wife, the former Betty Ann Galgozy, whom he married Aug. 23, 1986; children Derek Dunn, stationed in Japan, and Christopher Dunn and Elizabeth Dunn, both at home; sisters Jenny (Bob) Staunton and Kathy (James) Gumina, both of Newton Falls; brother Jeffery (Christina) Dunn of Muskegon, Mich.; father-in-law Ernie (Marilyn) Galgozy of Niles; sisters-in-law Denise (Tony) Hunt of Austintown and Laura (Randy) Anzevino of Youngstown; brother-in-law Ernie (Lisa) Galgozy of Champion; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 11 a.m. at the Open Door Community Church with Pastor Art Nicolli and Pastor Jeffery Dunn officiating.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard and also on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church.

Interment will take place at Green Haven Cemetery.
