Obituary for Grace Laird Beardsley
Grace B. Beardsley, age 82, wife of the late Earle Beardsley and Naugatuck resident, passed away Sept. 9 at Glendale Health Center in Naugatuck. She was born in Ansonia, Feb. 1, 1931, daughter of the late James Laird & Mary Anderson Laird. Grace was a former longtime Monroe resident and an active member of The Monroe Congregational church, where she sang in the choir. She was a manager for Red L Foods of Monroe and later worked at Platt Tech. High School in Milford. She is survived by her son Gregory Beardsley & his wife Bonnie of Monroe, two daughters, Shirley Johnson & husband Charlie of Wolcott & Kathleen Gerber & husband Gary of Naugatuck, sister Mary Anderson & husband Charlie, sister in law Jeanette Laird of Oxford, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son Gary, 3 brothers, James, David & William Laird, 2 sisters Dorothy Lehr & Jean Gazsi.
