Obituary for Raymond L Morrow

YOUNGSTOWN – There will be funeral services on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home, 4221 Market St., Boardman, for Raymond Lee Morrow Jr., 83, who died Monday morning, Aug. 26, 2013, at Autumn Hills Care Center.

Raymond was born May 31, 1930, in Aliquippa, Pa., the son of the late Raymond Lee and Sarah (Coleman) Morrow Sr. He moved to Youngstown area as a young man.

Raymond was an Army veteran and served during the Korean Conflict.

He worked for Youngstown Sheet & Tube Brier Hill Works Blast Furnace Plant for 32 years, retiring in 1979.

He was a member of the Good Hope Lutheran Church.

Raymond is survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Eleanor Dolores Hatt, whom he married on Nov. 7, 1952; a son, George W. (Holly) Morrow of Warren; a daughter, Beverly A (David “Turk”) Miller of Hartford; and two brothers, William (Erika) Morrow of Olympia, Wash. and Samuel (Beverly) Morrow of Greenville, S.C.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home, Boardman, and one hour prior the service on Thursday at the funeral home
