Obituary for Ronald D Sr. Lane

WARREN – A graveside service will be held at noon on Friday, Aug. 9, 2013, at Canfield Cemetery for Ronald Douglas Lane, 73, who died on Aug. 3, in Cleveland, Tenn.

He was born Aug. 9, 1939, in Warren, the son of the late Benjamin F. and Delores (Hall) Lane.

Ronald went to Warren G. Harding until 1956. He served in the U.S. Army with the 498th eng. and 237th eng. in Germany from 1956 to 1959. He worked at General Motors in Lordstown, for 25 1/2 years until he retired in 1993. He moved to Palm Coast, Fla. in 1997, then to Cleveland, Tenn. in 2004. He was a fan of NASCAR and loved boating and old cars.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carole L. Lane, whom he married in 1961; his daughter, Diana L. Barone; two grandsons, Anthony J. (Brittany) Barone and Alec D. Barone of Austintown; and a great-granddaughter, Lily Rose.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald D. Lane Jr.
