Obituary for Ruth Jane Gretsinger

AUSTINTOWN – Ruth Gretsinger, 84, passed away, Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Austinwoods Nursing Home.

She was born May 8, 1929, in Harrisville, the daughter of William and Anna Wolfe.

Ruth was a devoted homemaker and mother. She enjoyed gardening, crafts, sewing, cooking and was the past president of the VFW Post 9571 Women’s Auxiliary.

She will be dearly missed by her son, John Egner of Boardman; daughter Donna Egner of Florida; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many grandchildren from the Gretsinger family.

Besides her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her first husband, John F. Egner; second husband, Kenneth Gretsinger; brothers William, Ted and Dick; sisters Catherine and Cleon; and daughter-in-law Deborah Egner.  

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 29, 2013, at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel. 

Friends and family will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Entombment will be at Green Haven Memorial Park.
