Obituary for RITA M. SCHOENER

Rita M.Schoener Rita M.Schoener, 89, of Somers CT, passed away Wednesday, April 7th, at her residence. She was formerly of Temple PA. Rita was born in Reading,PA ,on January 13, 1932, a daughter of the late Julia (Metivier) and Roy A. Usher. She graduated from Reading Catholic. She lived in Temple most her life prior to moving to Somers, CT. She was the widow of her beloved Donald R. Schoener. They were married 59 years with many of these years spent traveling together wthin the United States and Europe. Prior to dedicating her life to raising a family, she worked as a secretary at the former Motor Cargo, Reading. Rita is survived by a daughter, Claudia, wife of Glenn W. Eberly, of Ellington, CT, and three siblings: Yvonne Greenwood, Steven Usher, and Cecile Bechtel. She is also survived by 2 grandsons Samuel Eberly, his wife Nikki, and Benjamin Eberly, and his wife Elizabeth. Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
