Obituary for Barbara Zimmerman Carpinello
Barbara E. Carpinello, age 77, of Ansonia, entered into rest on Friday June 28, 2013 in the Griffin Hospital Derby. She was the devoted wife of the late Richard J. Carpinello.
Mrs. Carpinello was born in Albany, NY on Feb. 27, 1936 daughter of the late Alton and Margaret (Zimmer) Zimmerman and was an Ansonia resident for most of her life.
Barbara was employed at Dunkin Donuts for over 39 years, a career she enjoyed very much, since she was able to socialize with people on a day to day basis. When she and her children were younger she was a den mother for Cub Scouts ,and Brownies, she enjoyed bowling , and going to the YMCA.
She is the beloved mother of Michael Carpinello, and his wife Joanne, Linda Kieley, and her husband Tom, Cindy Carpinello, and Annmarie Wrigley, and her husband David.
She also leaves 11 cherished grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and her best friend Barbara Money who would visit with her and solve all the world’s problems each time they got together.
Friends may greet her family on Monday from 5 to 8 PM in the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home 253 Elizabeth Street Derby. On Tuesday her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 8:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 :00 AM in the Holy Rosary Church Ansonia.
