Obituary for Justine Jackson Little
JUSTINE J. (JACKSON) Justine Jeannette Jackson Little of Ansonia went from labor to reward on June 27, 2013 in Columbia, Maryland. She was born on January 7, 1940, in Derby, Connecticut, to the union of Alene (Scott) and Clarence Jackson, Sr. She was the oldest child and was reared in the Ansonia Public Schools and attended Housatonic Community College. Early in life Justine heard God''s calling and became a member of Clinton AME Zion Church where she continued to serve the Lord. As a member she served on many boards and organizations for over fifty years, including The Friends of Clinton, the Usher Board, and the Missionary Society. In 1957, Justine married the late Rev. James P. Little, Sr. and to the union three children were born, James Jr., the late Malinda, and Constance. Justine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter Malinda L. Butler. She leaves a charge to continue her legacy of love and caring, one son, the Reverend James P. Little, Jr. (Angela), Greenville, North Carolina; one daughter Constance J. Little, Columbia Maryland; one brother Clarence L. Jackson, Jr., Ansonia, Connecticut; two grandsons, one granddaughter. Homegoing Services will be held Friday, July 5, 2013 at 12 (NOON) at Clinton AME Zion Church, 96 Central St., Ansonia, CT. Family will receive friends from 11am until time of service. Burial will follow Church Service at Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia. Petteway Family Funeral Services are handling the Funeral Arrangements.
