Obituary for Betty J. Screngi
Betty J. Screngi, 87, of Willowick, passed away June 28, 2013, in Euclid.
She was born Nov. 9, 1925, in Cleveland.
Betty was employed as an operator for 29 years at National City Bank, retiring in 1985. She belonged to the First Baptist Church of Willowick and was a member of Pioneer Girls Club.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty (Terry) Boylan; sons, Anthony (Carol) Screngi and Vincent (Marcia) Screngi; grandchildren, Kimberly (Joseph) Bodnar, Cassie Screngi, Cory (Brittany) Screngi and Eileen (Eric) Montler; great-grandchildren, Kayla Bodnar, Morgan and Lauren Montler; siblings, Norma Dvorak and Lenny (Kay) Schmidt; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent W. Screngi; parents, Irving and Euphemia Schmidt; and siblings, Nola Anderson, John Schmidt and Arleen Lazier.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.>>
