Obituary for Leota E. Hildinger
HILDINGER LEOTA E. HILDINGER (nee Rimes), ten days short of 99, of Chardon died May 31, 2013 at her residence. Born June 9, 1914 in Cleveland to George and Anna (nee Hitz) Rimes, she had been a lifelong area resident. Leota was a member of the Geauga Hospital Women''s Auxillary "Twigs", Geauga County Safety Council, Chardon United Methodist Church and was involved in the United Methodist Women. Leota Rimes married Herbert Hildinger on Aug. 10, 1935; he preceded her in death on June 28, 1984. She is survived by her daughters: Elaine Fay Midolo of Chardon Twp. and Dorothy Snell of Toms River, NJ; 8 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Leota was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother William Rimes; sisters Mildred Gaylord, Dorothy Orient and Florence Davis and one grandchild. Private family services were held.
