Beverly J. Kasunic (1929-2013)
Beverly J. Kasunic, 83, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 20, 2013, surrounded by her family.
She was born July 19, 1929, in Cleveland, the daughter of Frank and Diana (Rock) Sommers.
She was a graduate of Collinwood High School''s Class of 1947.
On April 23, 1949, she married George R. Kasunic, and in 1964 they moved to Willowick where they raised their children and she had lived ever since.
Mrs. Kasunic was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Church and the Croatian Fraternal Union of America since 1946, and she was a volunteer at the JFK Senior Center. She loved bingo, playing cards and traveling to casinos, but the times Beverly most enjoyed were those spent with her family that she simply loved and cherished.
Beverly is survived by her loving family: her children, George, Diane (Kasunic) Quior, Jeffrey, Valerie (Kasunic) Garrett and Gary; her grandchildren, Danny (Hilary) Quior, Adam Kasunic, Rachel (Rusty) Sheridan, Lana Kasunic, Amie (Frank) Walland and Mathew (Nicole Frame) Adornetti; and her great-grandkids, Frankie, Jocelyn, Gabriella, Alex and Theodore.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, George, on Feb. 8, 2003.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, at the Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Wednesday at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 460 E. 321st St., Willowick. Burial will follow in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens.
