WARREN - Marlene E. Smith, 63, died 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at her residence.
She was born May 12, 1949, in Sewickley, Pa., the daughter of Norman Jack and Lula Keith Eckley.
Marlene was a 1968 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and was employed at Delphi Packard as a mold operator for 30 years before retiring in 1999.
She was of Christian faith, and enjoyed gardening, Las Vegas and gambling junkets.
She will be deeply missed by her mother, Lula Eckley of Niles; brother, Jack Eckley of Niles; two sisters, Marie (John) Proudfoot of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Lorraine (Don) Timko of Champion; two nephews, Brian Eckley and John N. Proudfoot; niece, Samantha Timko; and also leaves her beloved and faithful dog, Pugsley, who she referred to as "her little angel."
She was preceded in death by her father and niece, Lindsay Timko.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Ron Biehl of Harvest Christian Church in Warren.
Burial will be in Green Haven Cemetery in Canfield
