Obituary for Cynthia W. Korzun

Cynthia Gail "Cindy" (Wright) Korzun (1939-2013) Cynthia Gail "Cindy" (Wright) Korzun, 73, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family March 18, 2013, after a courageous six-month battle with cancer. Cindy was a devoted mother, cherished sister, loving aunt and a dedicated friend to many. Born June, 28, 1939, in Olean, N.Y., Cindy grew up and resided in Euclid before moving to Mentor four years ago. Cindy was a dedicated employee to the Forging Industry Association for 20 years, where she worked as an event planner prior to her retirement in 2005. Cindy will be remembered for her kindness, patience, teaching, attention to detail and famous cookies as well as her commitment to volunteering and advocacy with NAMI Greater Cleveland. Cindy is survived by her son, the Rev. James Korzun, who is also known by his Buddhist name, Ananda Sakyan; brother, Gerald Wright of Austinburg; sisters, Susan (Bruce) Bishop of Tempe, Ariz., and Judith (Edward) Pavelecky of Wickliffe; as well as many well-loved nieces and nephews along with great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Alice Wright; brother, James Wright; and nephew, James Curtis Wright.
