Obituary for Louise Bellis DellaVolpe

Louise Bellis DellaVolpe, 83, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on March 28, 2013, surrounded by her loving family, at Bridgeport Hospital. She was the beloved wife of 61 years to James F. "Jack" DellaVolpe. Mrs. DellaVolpe was born in Derby on July 18, 1929, daughter of the late Peter and Antoinette Calderola Bellis. Louise graduated from Ansonia High School in 1946 and was employed as a secretary for Buckingham Routh Company in New Haven and Pilot Pen Corporation in Shelton until her retirement. In addition to her husband Jack, she is survived by her four loving children, Darryl DellaVolpe of Framingham, MA, Jamie DellaVolpe of Ansonia, Daniel DellaVolpe and his wife Denise of Milford and Peter DellaVolpe of Ansonia, three cherished grandchildren, Amanda of Oxford, Daniel and his wife LaTashia of New Haven, and Ashley of Milford, a sister, Isabelle Saran and her husband Ed of Bellevue, WA, a brother, John Bellis and his wife Isabelle of Point Pleasant, NJ, formerly of Ansonia, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visiting hours will be held on Monday April 1, 2013, from 4-8 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Tuesday, relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Stephen A. Krugel officiating. Branch Sr. and Shelton resident, entered into eternal rest March 27. She was born January 29, 1918 in Derby, daughter of the late Frank & Elsie Locke Blaze. Ruth was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Ansonia and a member of the United Methodist Women. Ruth is survived by her son Joseph E. Branch Jr. of Ansonia, daughter Elsie Smith of Castleberry, Fl., brother Frank Blaze of Seymour, & 10 grand, 18 great grandchildren & several nieces & nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her sister Rowena Warecke. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 3 at 11:00 a.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia, CT. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
