Gladys L. (Merrell) Konrad (1930-2013)
Gladys L. (Merrell) Konrad, 82, Mentor, died March 8, 2013, at Altercare of Mentor in Concord Township.
She was born Oct. 16, 1930, in Mentor.
Mrs. Konrad was a homemaker and she had worked at the bookstore at Lakeland Community College. She was a member of Mentor United Methodist Church, an adviser for the Mentor Busy Bee''s 4-H Sewing Club and a 1948 Mentor High School graduate. Mrs. Konrad was an excellent cook who loved to make cookies for her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters, Konnie (Charles) Tromm, Amy (Gary) Mlynarczyk and LouAnn (Larry) Luzar; and grandchildren, Emily and C.J. Tromm, Tyler and Sarah Mlynarczyk and Dan, Stephen and Ryan Luzar.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert K.; and her parents, Otto and Grace Merrell.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mentor United Methodist Church, 8600 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday. Interment will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
