Obituary for Rose M Pivovar

ROSE M. PIVOVAR NILES - Rose M. Pivovar, 94, passed away peacefully at 10:15 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013, at her daughter’s Poland residence following a short illness. Rose was born in Oakdale, Pa. on Nov. 18, 1918, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Fodse) Sinciline and came to this area in 1959. Rose was employed by the Niles City School system as a school bus driver for 20 years and retired in 1979. She was a member of Saint Stephen Church, an active member of the Niles Ladies of the Moose Lodge, enjoyed playing bingo, traveling to Florida and to the casinos, and especially activities with her children, grandchildren and siblings. She is survived by three daughters, Janet (Richard) Kristoff of Farmington, Mich., Diana Pivovar of Mayer, Ariz., and Sandra (Joseph) Romanko of Poland; four grandchildren, Erin Miller of Waterford, Mich., Ryan Kristoff of Farmington, and Alex Romanko and Emma Romanko, both of Poland; two great-grandchildren, Avery and Reid Miller; two sisters, Pam Vetovich of Columbus and Mary Tournay of The Villages, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews. Rose was preceded in death on July 7, 1999, by her husband, Frank A. Pivovar, whom she married Sept. 16, 1947; four sisters, Angeline Verelst, Victoria Swigunski, Frances DiPietro, and Stella Kampian; and three brothers, Benjamin, Warren and Joseph Sinciline. Friends may call at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home in Niles on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, from 10 to 11:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Stephen Church at noon on Tuesday. Burial will be at Greenhaven Memorial Park in Canfield. Material contributions may be made to the donors special charity.
