Obituary for Ramon Nieves
Ramon Nieves, age 52, of Ansonia, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at his residence in Ansonia while surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Lillian Nieves. Ramon was born in Camuy, Puerto Rico. He is the son of Carmen M. Alicea and the late Miguel A. Nieves. He was employed as a Correctional Officer by the Connecticut Department of Corrections for over 10 years. Ramon is the loving father of Ramon Nieves, Jr., and Raoul Nieves. He is the adoring grandfather of Elijah Nieves and R''mhni Nieves; caring brother of Miguel A. Nieves, Aurea Santiago, Norma Reyes, and Zoraida Nieves; and numerous other family and friends that will dearly miss him. Friends are invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 7- 9 P.M. at the Funeraria Luz de Paz ( Peaceful Light Funeral Home) 426 East Washington Ave, Bridgeport, CT. Funeral services have been scheduled for Thursday, March 7, 2013 beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the Funeral Home followed by interment in Pine Grove Cemetery, Ansonia, CT.
