Obituary for Leo A Genetta

LEO A. GENETTA NORTH JACKSON – Leo A. Genetta, 82, passed away, Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013. He was born Aug. 19, 1930, in North Jackson on the farm he now lived on, the son of Steve and Pearl Genetta. Leo was a 1948 graduate of Jackson-Milton High School and retired from Bliss Manufacturing and was also employed with Austintown Tool and Die. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in the Korean War and a life member of the Lake Milton American Legion. He was a proud veteran and proud of the Korean War Veteran Memorial Bridge and the sign his daughter made for him and all of the Korean War veterans. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 58 years, Elizabeth (Betty Ann Boyer); a daughter, Susan (Shawn) Goodman of North Jackson; a two year old grandson, Shawn Michael; and a brother, Steve (Dorothy) Genetta of Florida. Leo was preceded in death by his brother, John A. Genetta and his parents. Friends will be received Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, and again from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel. Interment will be at Green Haven Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel.
