Lawrence W. Reed (1923-2013)
Lawrence W. Reed, 89, of Cincinnati for the past 10 years, and formerly of Wickliffe and Randolph, N.Y., passed away Feb. 11, 2013, in Cincinnati.
He was born March 13, 1923, in Great Valley, N.Y.
Mr. Reed was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, bowling and photography.
Mr. Reed had worked as a USPS mail carrier.
Survivors are his sons, Brian Reed and Randy (Diana) Reed; grandchildren, Michael and Allison Reed; brothers, Howard (Angie) Reed and Kenneth Reed; many nieces and nephews; and former wife, Majel Blowers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Adelaide (nee Fay) Reed; brother, Vernon (Evelyn) Reed; and sisters, Helen (Ralph) Chapman and Marion (Lynn) Wood.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Chardon United Methodist Church, 515 North St., Chardon. The Rev. H. Daniel Drew, Pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
