Obituary for Nina Morelli

NINA MORELLI BOARDMAN – There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Parish, 7345 Westview Drive in Boardman for Nina Morelli, 91, who died early Monday morning at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. Nina was born July 19, 1921, in San Pietro Avalono, Italy, a daughter of the late Oliver and Lesina Colavecchia DiLorenzo, coming to Pittsburgh as a child and to this area prior to her marriage. She had worked in the registrar’s office at Youngstown State University for over 15 years. Nina was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, St. Patrick Catholic Church of Youngstown, the Wolves Auxilliary, Y.S.U. Retirees and the Junior Vivacci. Her husband, Paul A. Morelli, whom she married Aug. 6, 1944, died Dec. 17, 2004. She leaves her children, Paul J. Morelli and his wife Eileen of Canfield, Michael T. and his wife, Que, of Elkhart, Ind., Felicia A. Reuter and her husband, Donald of Tucson, Ariz., Pamela A. Thomas and her husband, Richard of Canfield; and 11 grandchildren, Paul, Thomas, Licia, Sarah, Jessica, Allison, Julie, Brandon, Tracy, Mark and Rachael. Nina also leaves her sister, Elsa Collinger of Pittsburgh. Besides her parents and her husband, Nina was preceded in death by a sister, Licia DiLorenzo and a daughter-in-law, Cindi Thomas-Morelli. Friends may call for one hour prior to the Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Parish on Thursday. Arrangements are by Lane Family Funeral Homes, Canfield Chapel.
