MADISON—There will be services at 10:15 A.M. at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Anstrom Chapel and a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Joanne M. Blaurock, 77, formerly of Austintown, who died Thursday morning at Lantern Assisted Living in Madison.
Mrs. Blaurock was born April 7, 1935 in East Palestine, Ohio, a daughter of Frank and Matilda Ulbricht Hillenbrand.
She was a 1953 graduate of East Palestine High School. Joanne was a homemaker and loved to spend time with her grandchildren.
She was a member of the church and a former active choir member. Joanne was a member of the Youngstown Saxon Club Branch No. 22 and also belonged to the Sweet Adelines
She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed home decorating. She loved to travel and was an avid camper.
She leaves her husband of 54 years, Gerhard W. Blaurock, Sr., whom she married October 11, 1958; her daughter, Ellen Tirpack of Mill Valley, CA; her sons, Gerhard W. "Gary" (Cathy L.) Blaurock, Jr. of Shelby Twp., Michigan and Michael B. (Colleen) Blaurock of Concord, OH; her sister, Carol Murray of Ona Alaska, TX; her brother, Regis Hillenbrand of East Palestine; her grandchildren, Brie, Scott, Kaitlin, Danielle, Aidan, Michael (Mack), and Jack; and her great grandchildren, Jordan and McKena.
Her sisters, Elenor McCague, Wilma Jean Redmond, Evelyn Williams, and Ruth Colan are all deceased.
Friends may call Sunday from 5 to 7:00 P.M. at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Anstrom Chapel, 8387 Tod Ave. in Boardman.
