EMILY W. OLIVER
YOUNGSTOWN – Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Mineral Ridge Chapel, for Emily W. Oliver, 91, who passed away Friday evening at Park Vista Nursing Facility.
Emily was born Dec. 25, 1921, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Lester and Lucy (Cuthbert) Hatfield Sr.
She retired after 30 years of service with the Youngstown Hospital Association – Northside Laundry.
Emily was a member of the Mahoning United Methodist Church, and loved dogs and crocheting.
She will be sadly missed by her son, Robert Oliver of Youngstown; sister Della Shaw of Palmetto, Ga.; two brothers, Russell (Jeanette) Hatfield of Dunnellon, Fla., and Kenneth (Betty) Hatfield of Austintown; two grandchildren, Amy (Garry) Mintz of Pittsburgh and Jeanne Oliver of Seaside, Ore.; and three great-grandchildren, Billie Jean, Alayna, and Raymond.
Emily was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Oliver; and two brothers, David Hatfield and Lester “Sonny” Hatfield Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley or the Mahoning United Methodist Church in Emily’s name.
