GILBERT E. CHALFANT SR
“Together Again” YOUNGSTOWN –
Gilbert E. Chalfant Sr., 79, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016. Born March 15, 1936, in Canfield, he was the son of Clair and Ethel (Davis) Chalfant. Mr. Chalfant retired from Warren Fabrication, he formerly worked for both Wean United as well as Fab Art.
He loved to work on cars and spent many years as a mechanic.
Survivors include his children, Gilbert E. (Vicki) Chalfant Jr., Kathy Myers, and Timothy D. Chalfant; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a beloved dog, Jessie
. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alma Jean in 2012; and a brother, Donald. Friends will be received at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, on Thursday, from 4 to 7 p.m., where services will take place on Friday at 2 p.m. Burial will take place at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.
