Obituary for Randall W Baringer

RANDALL W. BARINGER “Together Again” BERLIN CENTER – Memorial services celebrating the life of Randall W. Baringer, 87, who died Dec. 23, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center, will be held Saturday, Jan. 5, at 11 a.m. at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel. Randall was born Jan. 23, 1925, in Berlin Center, the son of Foster B. and Gladys (Mock) Baringer. Randall was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Fithian Contractors, retiring in 1982. He also worked for Paragon Tool & Die in Berlin Center and was a groundskeeper for Diamond Back Golf Course. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 66 in Youngstown, member of AARP and loved to do woodworking and work in his yard. He was a World War II Army veteran. During his time in the Army, he was proud to be able to meet and talk with General McArthur. He made donations to and was a member of the McArthur Museum in Virginia Beach, Va. The love of his life, Betty J. (Kale) Baringer, whom he married May 1, 1946, preceded him in death May 5, 2010. Randall is survived by children Donald (Lori) Baringer of Sun City, Calif., Sheila (James) Gilmartin of Berlin Center and Debra Centofanti of Canfield; brother Eldon Baringer of Beloit; and sister Gwenneth Confoey of Berlin Center. He also will be missed by his 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Calvin Baringer. Family and friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at the funeral home, prior to services.
