Obituary for Edith Kale

CANFIELD – Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel, for Edith G. Kale, 81, who died Friday morning at Courtyard Assisted Living in Salem.
Edith was born March 28, 1931, in West Austintown, the daughter of Samuel Schrum and Edith (Bishop) Schrum. She had formerly lived in Canfield.
Edith formerly attended the Greenford Christian Church and was a member of the Pythian Sisters No. 313 in North Jackson. She had formerly worked as a secretary for Union Cartage Trucking and Hynes Steel Company.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LaMar Kale, whom she married Sept. 19, 1953.
Edith is survived by sisters, Imogene Yocum of Salem, Grace Dimick of Alliance, Geraldine Craig of Berlin Center, Eileen Taylor of Greenford, and Doris Burkett of Canfield. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers Richard and Wilbur Schrum; and sisters Charlotte Sisco and Vera Orr.
Family and friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home
