Obituary for Sr. Joseph B. Park
Joseph Brown Park, Sr., age 76, of Shelton, formerly of Ansonia and Homosassa, FL, beloved husband of the late Pauline H. Dorris Park, died November 17, 2012 in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his family. Born in Hamilton, Ontario Canada, on July 22, 1936, he was the son of the late William and Doris Deadman Park. Mr. Park was a self employed roofing and siding contractor, owning and operating the J.B. Park Roofing and Siding Co. for many years, until his retirement in 2006. An Ansonia resident for 48 years, he was a member of the Central Subalpi Club and while enjoying his retirement in FL, he was a member of the Crystal River Moose Lodge # 2013. He is survived by his devoted children Michelle “Mickie” McCarthy, Joseph Park, Jr., Terry Choszczyk and her husband, Robert all of Ansonia, Kathy DeVito and her husband, Michael of Orange, Laura Hubbard and her husband, Terrance of FL, and Paul Park and his wife, Michelle of TX; sisters, Hazel Komindo and Gertrude Yarbrough and her husband, Judd both of MI, 13 cherished grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and a beloved companion, Linda McAloon of Shelton. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a son-in-law, Michael McCarthy. Funeral services and interment are private. Friends and family may call on Friday, November 23, 2012 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia.
