Obituary for Ronald L Nesbitt

RONALD L. NESBITT WARREN – Ronald L. Nesbitt, 73, died Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Born April 8, 1939, in Youngstown, he was the son of Leroy and Jessie (Collins) Nesbitt.
As a child, Ron traveled abroad with his parents when his father served in the U.S. Army. He graduated from Chaney High School, and attended the University of Maryland in Munich, Germany, as well as Youngstown State University. He served in the U.S. Army from 1961 to 1964, where he received an honorable discharge. He volunteered in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.
He retired from General Motors in Lordstown in 1996 after 23 years of service. He was a member of the Lordstown Lutheran Church and an active member and speaker for AA, where he helped and inspired others.
His hobbies included gardening, fishing, boating, wood working, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Virginia, whom he married on Aug. 25, 1972; children Laura Sodeman, Jennifer Williams, Ronald Nesbitt of Guam, Keith Leepard, Linda McGirr, Jeff Leepard, Darcel Dibell, and Dr. Jennifer Leepard of Las Vegas; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother, Donald; and sister Myrna Rauschenberg. Friends will be received at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m., where services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at 1 p.m. Burial will take place at Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
