Obituary for Ernest D. Morrow

Ernest D. Morrow (1929-2012) Services for Ernest D. Morrow, 83, of Kirtland, will be 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2012. Mr. Morrow passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby. Born Jan. 20, 1929, in Cleveland, he was a longtime Kirtland resident. He was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He attended Kirtland Bethel Bible Church and was a member of the Kirtland Senior Citizens Center, the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System and was instrumental in the construction of the Kirtland Veterans Memorial. He loved the outdoors, gardening and planted many trees. Mr. Morrow was employed as a machinist at the former Addressograph-Multigraph Corporation in Euclid for 33 years, and later worked in maintenance at Deepwood Center in Mentor for several years. Survivors are his wife of 54 years, Carol A. (Grieshober) Morrow; children, Nancy (Dean) Schnaufer of Eastlake, Sharon Jung of Mentor and Bill (Rebecca) Morrow of Eastlake; grandchildren, David, Tiffani, Kristina and Michael; great-granddaughter, Ariella; stepbrother, Dean Muller; niece, Linda Thomas; nephew, Joseph Wintrode; brother-in-law, Tom (Helen) Grieshober; and many cousins and their families. His father, Ernest Sr.; mother, Loretta; stepmother, Alva; sister, Corrine Wintrode; and stepbrother, Carl Muller, are deceased. The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Pastor Douglas E. Browning of Kirtland Bethel Bible Church will officiate at the service. Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
